Benefits of A Goldendoodle
I talk hours on the phone to people about dogs, just ask one of my customers. The conversations are all similar, and I always catch myself smiling. Owning a Goldendoodle is one of the greatest joys in my life! Although there is some problem solving which happens in training the first year, overall everyone always has positive stories to share. Believe me, everyone is proud of their Goldendoodle! We all understand we are benefiting from our furry family member. However, did you know there is research to back up our beliefs. Research shows dogs benefit us more than we can ever imagine. According to John Hopkins, owning a dog is truly healthy for us. Statistically speaking 84 percent of post traumatic stress disorder patients paired with a service dog reported a significant reduction in symptoms and 40 percent were able to decrease their medication. Along with this a dog can help lower blood pressure, increase your physical activity, boost your heart health, and ease loneliness and depression.
The Friend Who Keeps YOU Young
How does this happen? Oxytocin! Oxytocin, has been considered the love drug or feel good hormone. Oxytocin is produced in our brain, and is one of the most amazing chemicals in the world, Our brains produce this when we gaze in our dogs eyes, socialize with our dogs, and just play with them! Engaging with your pet is the answer, it releases oxytocin in our brain.
The feel good hormone is ready to make you feel better, so go for a walk with your Goldendoodle, engage with them, brush them, talk to them, and just get creative on activities you do with your Goldendoodle. Next time you are with your Goldendoodle take a minute to gaze into their eyes, and smile!
